About Team 4 NY

Six anchors were asked to pick two of their favorite Olympic sports. Then viewers voted on WNBC.com and selected which sport they should try. The poll results were announced on Friday, July 18:

1. Chuck Scarborough:  Fencing

2. David Ushery: Trampoline

3. Darlene Rodriguez:  Taekwondo

4. Len Berman: Badminton

5. Janice Huff: Gymnastics

6. Michael Gargiulo: Track and Field-Pole Vault, Hurdles

Their stories will air on News 4 New York in early August. Stay tuned to this blog and to News 4 New York for the latest as these anchors put down their pens and papers to meet their Olympic Challenge.

    Thanks for taking a look at the sport of fencing. It is for all ages. 9-10 and up to over 70+.(who knows) You can begin at any age.(I’m 69 and a grandmother, Had 10 lessons and loved the activity, both physical and mental). My daughter and granddaughter are fencers. Everyone isn’t an electric Olympic competitor. There is another group of club sports fencers that just enjoy the sport for all as an activity. Have you seen information about wheelchair fencing?

  3. Janice is always delightful. I am sure she will be as accomplished at gymnastics as she is at everything else.
